Crazy things toddlers do!
The stage of my toddlers has been so fun. My three year old is growing into a little boy so fast! I think its a rule of common sense that before any toddler gets into the stage of childhood they have to give their parents a certain amount of stress and experiences. My little ones are no exception. These kiddos of mine have given me countless moments of stress, laughter, and “WHY?” experiences, I have picked out a few the craziest things my toddlers have done to share with you.
We don’t live outside.
A few weeks back I was snuggling with my kids at about 4 pm. It was one of the very few and far between moments I actually fell asleep and had a small 10 minute nap. My kids had moved from my hugging arms and were playing in my room when I had actually dozed off. I guess sleep took me a little bit deeper then I would have liked. When I woke the kids were no longer in my room I could hear them downstairs this time, I got up to check on them and finding they decided while mommy was sleeping they would remove all items they could carry out the back door into the snow! This included the couch cushions, silverware, blankets, bar stools, the garbage can, shoes, cups, pillows, etc. I about cried. Not only did it take a good while to clean up but a lot of it was wet and needed washed now. This happened again a few days later. I am hoping this isn’t something they need to venture more then twice.
Syrup goes on pancakes.
We all love those lazy Sunday afternoons to relax and can soak up the ones we love. My husband and I were enjoying each others company when my 2 year old wanted to be held. I Love when my kids want to be held, especially when I’m not busy and can give them they attention they need. I felt instantly that something wasnt right with my little man. He was so sticky that i just sat there for a few moments dreading the cleanup process that was waiting for me. Yes my little guy had found the new bottle of Syrup in the pantry and decided he was going to swim in it. It was everywhere! on the pantry shelves, the cabinets, and all over the kitchen and dining room floor. It must have been an inch thick. I had to mop up everything 3 times over. Boy, aren’t Boys fun!
Please don’t eat that!
One of the most disgusting things about a baby that crawls around, is that everything they touch they think they need to taste. Lottie is my 10 month old daughter who is currently crawling. My kids needed a little fresh air so I took them into the backyard to play. We have a good sized backyard with a pad for the kids to ride bikes on, a playhouse, swing set, and about 10 chickens. I like to let the chickens roam around the yard. Chicken poop everywhere is the consequence. I went to get Lottie a jacket from the house and returned to find a screaming baby girl with a mouth full of chicken poo. UGH! So gross! I quickly rushed her to the sink to thoroughly wash her mouth out. I do think I will De-worm my babies now.Keeping a much better eye on her when she is outdoors playing is a must now. But this is definitely on my list of the most disgusting things my kids have tried to put into their mouths.
Crazy things toddlers do…
Toddlers love to try new things its true. I’m sure there will be a lot more stories I will be adding to this blog in the future. Even though my toddlers do crazy things, I would not change them for the world. They each individually make my days more memorable and exciting. I thank the Lord I get to be their momma.
